Nite Lite Photo of the Day~

Baltimore’s Hamilton neighborhood with its larger 1920s and 1930s era houses with broad front porches and rather spacious yards was originally farmland long the Harford Road corridor…

…which at the time was a major route out of Baltimore City. The neighborhood began to be developed in the late 1910s and early 1920s, and in some areas, into the 1950s. Beginning in the early 2000s, the section of Harford Road running through Hamilton has seen increased urban development with award-winning restaurants~ Clementine, Big Bad Wolf’s House of BBQ, and Hamilton Tavern along with two art galleries, the Hamilton Arts Consortium, and Los Amigos (a Peruvian/Mexican restaurant) to name just some.  All this week The Nite Lite Photo of the Day is featuring scenes from Baltimore’s Hamilton neighborhood.
