Food and Wine magazine made the following suggestions.

A Champagne is best for potato chips or tater tots.  The bubbly is designed for salty foods.

Donuts and cake: A dry sparkling wine is the way to go.

Slim Jims and Beef Jerky: Red is best.

Spaghetti-o’s: Try a crisp red wine.

Obviously a slow week at Food and Wine.
