Baltimore sure has its share of forgotten historical buildings, and this is one of them. Standing on the former property of Johns Hopkins in Clifton Park is a reminder of a bygone era…

The Clifton Park Pony Barn was constructed in two phases. It was built by the Parks Commission in 1899 as a stable and wagon barn. In the 1930’s a Spanish Mission style courtyard was added to it adding a unique elegance. Residing by the Clifton Park Golf Course and used by the Baltimore City Parks and Recreation crews today, you can imagine what it looked like in its heyday. Wouldn’t it be great to restore it to its former glory?
