The Fleetwood Mac 2013 Tour is a reunion of lifelong friends, singing old songs and new songs. An EP was released on iTunes this week. The Extended Play is the first set of new Mac music since their ‘Say You Will’ album from 2003. Included on the EP, new songs written by Lindsay Buckingham and one song, that was a forgotten gem written by Lindsay and Stevie Nicks. Apparently, the “lost song” was going to appear on another Buckingham and Nicks album in the early 1970’s. Of course, that never happened. Stevie and Lindsay joined Fleetwood Mac.

Stevie said in concert, “The song, ‘Without You’ had been “lost,” but was rediscovered when someone posted an early demo of it on YouTube.” Below, is that “lost” demo. iTunes has that song, along with a few other new songs. The EP received gold sales for it’s first week.

The Extended Play sounds a lot like the Fleetwood Mac we knew and loved from the 1980’s “Mirage” album era. The demo below, has a Cat Stevens feel to it. Back then, Lindsay was a huge Cat Stevens fan. I have been a big Fleetwood Mac for many years. I believe, this song shows how much in love Buckingham and Nicks were. Enjoy this blast from the past.
