Desserts for breakfast, really? Yes, according to a recent study the Tel Aviv University found that people who had a carbohydrate and protein-packed breakfast followed by dessert, lost more weight! In moderation like anything else. A small helping of chocolate, a doughnut, a cookie, or a piece of cake, helps fill you up and you are less hungry throughout the day.

Soup is another one that help a diet. Researchers from Penn State found that eating low-calorie soup before a meal triggers people to consume an average of 20 percent fewer calories overall. Make sure the soup is a broth based soup and not a heavy cream-based soup.

Dark Chocolate is good for you. The University of Copenhagen studied people who ate 100 grams of dark chocolate. They then dined on pizza and ate 15 percent less food.

A few good diuretics to shed unwanted water weight, melons, Bananas and Avocados.
