Singer Michael Bublè is feeling good today – he’s become a first-time dad! Bublè’s wife, 26-year-old Argentine actress/model Luisana Lopilato, gave birth to a baby boy early Tuesday morning in Vancouver, Canada, reports People.
Bublè announced the exciting news on his Instagram account by introducing the newest member of the Bublè clan in a family photo with the caption, “Overjoyed and filled with gratitude at the arrival of our son Noah Bublè. Born this morning, August 27th at 2:26 am in Vancouver, Canada.”
Upon finding out that he and his wife were expecting their first child earlier this year, Bublè revealed in an interview that he was so excited about the news that he spilled the beans to actress Reese Witherspoon when discussing a possible duet for his newest album To Be Loved.
“I had just found out [we were expecting]. It was the greatest day of my life, so I just said, ‘You know, I’m having a baby!’” Buble revealed. “It was nice for us to bond that way. I told her before anyone else in the world knew, even members of my own family!”
In March, Bublè announced they were expecting a boy, which they found out on the same day the new Pope, Jorge Bergoglio, was chosen, who also hails from Lopilato’s native Argentina.
Bublè noted that Lopilato said it was a sign finding out the baby’s gender on the same day the new Pope was elected, but joked that he wouldn’t be the newborn’s namesake.
“There’s no way we are going to call him Frank,” Bublè told Page Six. “Even if it did work well for Frank Sinatra.”
Although Bublè admits that he and his wife couldn’t agree on a name for their son leading up to his birth, it seems the two have finally chosen that perfect name just as little Noah was welcomed into the world.
