If you save someone’s life, you have a lifelong friend, even if that friend is a fawn.

John Slater was driving up a hill when he saw the deer lying in a pool of blood. He thought she was dead, but when he discovered she was alive, he took her home and cared for her. The deer was named Strawberry and came to live at John’s house with his other pets. However, one day he noticed that things had been messed with in the house. Some scented pinecones and a cork had been chewed on.

He had no idea what was going on until one day he was in the kitchen and he saw the culprit… Strawberry usually sleeps in a shed, but Slater says he lets her sleep in the kitchen on a blanket in the winter. Slater is not only responsible for saving this deer’s life, but for making everyone who sees this video want a pet deer.
