The Mayor’s Christmas Parade is Sunday, December 3 in Hampden. The parade starts on Falls Road by Poly-Western at 1pm, turns onto 36th Street, and winds its way through Hampden. We’ll be there! Come out and say hi!
Pandora Ice Rink: now through January 15, enjoy ice skating at the Inner Harbor Promenade. Admission is $10 adults, $9 children, seniors and military. Skates are available for rental.
Christmas Village: 50 vendors by the Harborplace Light Street Pavilion, selling authentic German food, ornaments and arts & crafts. Open November 23 – December 4.
Miracle on 34th Street: enjoy the annual display of home decorations in the 700 block of W. 34th Street in Hampden
Fells Point Olde Tyme Christmas and Parade of Lighted Boats: enjoy a day-long celebration starting at 9am– the parade of boats begins at 6pm.
A Christmas Carol: performed December 8 – 13 at the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company.
A Christmas Carol: this one is at the Meyerhoff on December 9…a bit different, with one single actor in the entire show, portraying Ebeneezer Scrooge.
Handel’s Messiah: performed by the BSO at the Meyerhoff on December 9.
Cookie & Carols: a tasty event at harbor East on December 13, starting at 6pm. Enjoy a cookie at each stop on the “tour,” a special ornament, and more, all for only $5 a person.
Great Russian Nutcracker: performed by the Moscow Ballet on December 15 and 16 at the Hippodrome Theatre.
Merry Tuba Christmas: now a holiday tradition, this takes place at the MD Science Center starting at 3:30pm. It’s free to watch; $10 to participate. (Participant registration begins at 12:30)
Cirque de la Symphonie Holiday Spectacular: enjoy jugglers, acrobats and other performers on stage with the BSO, December 22-23 at the Meyerhoff.
Kwanzaa Celebration: December 30 at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum…a special event with African dance, drumming and storytelling.
