MD's Oldest Holly Tree

One of my favorite places to go in Maryland, is historic St Michael's. The dining, shopping, history and of course the amazing Eastern Shore waterfront!

While in St. Michael's, I discovered this beautiful holly tree. This American Holly was planted in 1816 and it resides at the entrance to the beautiful resort, Inn At Perry Cabin, St. Michael's.
It has been declared the state’s oldest holly tree and serves as the official Christmas Tree of St. Michaels in December.

There is so much to do in St. Michael's this time of year. Their big event "Christmas in St. Michael's" is coming up, December 7-9. Gingerbread competition, breakfast with Santa, holiday parade, muisc and more! Check it all out:
