Reflections Of Own My Dad On Father's Day

And things about Father's Day you may not know

June 11, 2019

That is a pic of my dad and me. I was daddy's little girl. My dad passed away 20 years. On Father's Day I always remember him as the guy who taught many useful things. He taught me "football and horse racing", very useful to this day LOL  Seriously, he would help with my school work. Stay up all night when I was sick. The man who cried at my wedding. I miss him, but his "memory is my guide".

In honor of dads everywhere, here is alittle something about Father's Day..

Hallmark says it's the fourth-largest card-sending occasion with 72 million cards given every year.

50% of all Father's Day cards are purchased for fathers. Almost 20% of Father's Day cards are given to husbands.

Sonora Smart Dodd of Spokane, Washington, is credited with starting Father's Day after hearing a sermon on Mother's Day.

President Richard Nixon in 1972 signs Father's Day into law.
