In 1885, The National Brewing Company began brewing its flagship beer - National Bohemian – or as the locals call it – “Natty Boh.”  It became a hometown favorite.  National Bohemian was brewed in Baltimore until 1975 with production halted during the  years of Prohibition.

In 1943, The National Brewing Company became the first brewery to sell its products in six-packs under the idea that four beers would be too few and eight would be too many.
