The Fudgery in Harborplace is Closing After 33 years

September 6, 2018

By Ana Hall-DeFoor

On Sunday, September 9th, the Fudgery in Light Street Pavilion at Harborplace will close its doors after 33 years of business at that location.

Aside from the delicious treats, The Fudgery is known for its entertainment. Employees sing while they work and hungry customers clap or sing along.

The Fudgery chain first opened in 1980 in Outerbanks, North Carolina. It now has over a dozen locations across the United States.

The closing of the Fudgery is one of many changes happening at the waterfront retail destination. The Harborplace has been under a slow renovation since 2016; it was purchased by Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp a New York-based real estate investment firm in 2012. New stores and restaurants are expected to open soon.
