I went on a coffee and egg cups run to Starbucks in Mt. Washington this morning with a $100 bill from our pal Ed Norris at The Fan, and I ended up walking out empty handed.

How did this happen? Well, that's because Starbucks doesn't accept $100 bills for payment. Who knew? According to the barista, they haven't for awhile. What? $100 bills are an acceptable form of American currency. Since when are they not accepting American currency? I never usually carry that much cash and I didn't have any other form of payment with me, so I said, "Well that sucks. Cancel my order," and I walked out.

Ed joked, "Didn't you say, don't you know who I am?" I said, "Nope, but I tweeted about it."

So far, I haven't heard anything back in my DM's from Starbucks.

What if I had spent $97 bucks on pastries, paninis and coffee tumblers and paid with a $100 bill. Would they not accept that as payment?

I'll tell you what. I'm not going back anytime soon to find out!
