Why This Photo Means So Much To Me Today

September 11, 2019

On this day of remembrance I am posting this grainy photo because its one of my fondest memories.

In the 80's I had just started working in New York City.  Soon after I got the job I took a celebratory cruise around NYC and snapped this picture as the sun was going down. The World Trade Center towers were one of the most amazing things I had ever seen!

A few years later I even got to work in the WTC Plaza hosting summer concerts. It's hard to imagine how massive they were until you stood right next to them and its shocking to think that these monster structures could actually come down.

I had only recently moved to Baltimore when the attack happened but that day my heart was in downtown New York.

Never forget!
