Do you want to start a fight at work?  Ask your co-workers about their favorite Christmas song. You will get all kinds of answers from the traditional to the goofy and everything in between.


Let me help. Here are the most requested Christmas songs at Baltimore’s Christmas Music Station.


1.      Mariah Carey.  “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” Rolling Stone magazine ranked it fourth on its Greatest Rock and Roll Christmas Songs list, calling it a "holiday standard.”


2.      Andy Williams. ” It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year. This holiday classic was released in 1963 and its still going strong.


3.      Bobby Helms.  Jingle Bell Rock”  "Jingle Bell Rock" has been recorded by many other artists, but Helms' version is the best known. Recorded in 1957.


4.      Band Aid. “Do They Know It’s Christmas Time.”   This holiday classic written in 1984 by Sir Bob Geldof. Inspired by television reports of the 1983–1985 famine in Ethiopia. It was first recorded in a single day on 25 November 1984 by the super group Band Aid.


5.      John Lennon. Happy Xmas (War is Over)  The world first heard this holiday classic in 1971 as a single by John & Yoko/Plastic Ono Band with the Harlem Community Choir.
